Error related to digitally signed message and no certificates

I get an error like “you are about to save a digitally signed email message in a format that is not secure” It offers to Send and upon selecting yes, the error is “Outlook cannot send or encrypt message because there are no certificates.”

The digital signature and invalid certificate messages are likely because of your preset rules in your Outlook setup that try to digitally sign or encrypt the message. If you are using the Encyro Outlook Addin, then no such certificates are needed (those certificates are needed if you use Outlook’s built in encryption methods).

In Outlook, please check the following settings:

    1. On the File tab, click Options > Trust Center. (“Options” is in the left pane, towards lower area)
    2. Under Microsoft Outlook Trust Center, click the Trust Center Settings button.
    3. On the Email Security tab, under Encrypted Mail, UNSELECT the Add digital signature to outgoing messages check box.
    4. UNSELECT the Encrypt contents and attachments for outgoing messages checkbox.
    5. Ensure that all 4 checkboxes in the “Encrypted email” section of the Email Security tab are unselected.
    6. Click OK and again OK to close the dialog windows.

After the above changes, try sending again using the Encyro Outlook Addin (Secure Send button).
