Can the files be securely downloaded from Encyro to Google Drive, OneDrive, or DropBox?

There are two options to download files from your Encyro account to Google Drive, OneDrive, or DropBox:

    1. If you use the desktop app for those services (such as the Google Backup and Sync or Drive File Stream apps, Microsoft OneDrive app, or the DropBox app), you can download files from Encyro to the folder created by those apps on your computer. Encyro transmits the files using an encrypted channel to your computer. Files on the GoogleDrive, OneDrive or DropBox synchronized folders will then also be saved to the respective clouds according to your settings. As of this writing, Google, Microsoft, and DropBox do encrypt the files being transferred from your computer to their cloud.
    2. If you do not use their desktop apps, and only access Google Drive, OneDrive or DropBox through a web browser, you could always first download the files from Encyro to your computer and then manually upload them to your Google Drive, OneDrive or DropBox account. Again, as of this writing, the web versions of those services will encrypt the data being transmitted from your computer to their clouds.

However, in each case, the files will also be saved on your computer. You are responsible for ensuring that your computer’s storage is also encrypted, and that your computer is password protected. Our security blog provides step by step instructions to enforce screen locks for all users (when they leave their computer unattended), computer storage encryption, enforce strong passwords, and physically securing your device.
