What level of encryption do you use? 128 bit, 256 bit?

We use 256 bit encryption for data stored (data at rest) on our servers, using the US National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) adopted encryption algorithms (FIPS 140-2 compliant).

For data transmitted over the network we use 256 bit encryption, with 2048 bit encryption used to exchange/generate encryption keys.

We will continue to upgrade our encryption algorithms as technology evolves.

    Notes

    1. Encryption keys used within our data centers are not sent to end user devices so that if some machine is compromised it only affects the data sent to that machine and not the data stored in our data centers.
    2. Different keys are used for data sent to each client computer or mobile device.
